Music has been a guiding star alongside Nkosi's visual journey. Specifically, Ambient music has been instrumental in finding focus and inspiration to create from an introspective place. Guitars were the first of instruments he learned to play from an early age. More recently, his affinities lie with sound healing and atmospheric music. Currently, Handpan, Indian Bansuri, and Native American flutes are his instruments of choice. Like many, he is using music as an emotional outlet to be shared and help heal. Nkosi's objective is to create sounds that are easy to receive; Light on the ears. Much of the music today can be abrasive, inhibiting mental clarity. So many of us consciously contribute to noise pollution on the planet, disrupting the peace humanity seeks. Playing percussion and wind instruments gives him a direct connection to the source and the ancient ones before us. Music is nature, sound, vibration, and frequency.
