About

After 10 years away from my Caribbean homeland of Saint Lucia, I decided it was the perfect time to reweave. In October of 2025, my family and I flew down so my son could see and know the faces of his father’s side of the family. This trip also aligned with the annual island-wide celebration known as Jounen Kwéyol every last Sunday of October. My Aunt Alesha Francois was paramount in my upbringing. At her home in Ti Rocher, Micoud, many cultural experiences and memories were formed. This woman is by far the hardest-working human I’ve known. She spends most of her day-to-day tending the vegetation and produce of the land.
