“Feedback by the pool” presents a surreal, quietly humorous scene set at the edge of a modest, colorful structure. A small building painted in soft teal with red trim sits beside lush greenery, its door slightly ajar. Above it, a simple sign reads “SWIM,” pointing toward what we assume is a nearby pool, though it remains outside the frame.
Two nude figures stand at the entrance, both facing inward toward the doorway. Their bodies are fully visible from behind, yet their heads are completely obscured by the structure itself—as if they’ve leaned too far in, or as if the building has somehow absorbed them. The effect is disorienting: human presence without identity, bodies paused in a moment of silent inquiry.
The composition balances natural textures—grass, leaves, soft daylight—with the flat, graphic quality of the painted building. There’s a gentle tension between the organic and the constructed, the exposed and the hidden. Nudity here feels less provocative and more elemental, stripping the figures down to form and gesture.
The title, “Feedback by the pool,” adds a layer of irony. It suggests communication, response, or evaluation—yet the figures seem unable to fully engage, caught in a loop of looking without being seen. The image reads like a visual riddle, inviting interpretation about curiosity, vulnerability, and the strange thresholds between inside and out, self and environment.
Photo finish: Legacy Etching is a pure white 100% cotton fibre paper with a textured matte finish. This paper simulates the touch and feel of old-world artist etching pads and handmade paper, but with the advantage of current technological improvements. It has an industry-leading microporous inkjet receptive layer that produces deep, rich blacks (Dmax), expanded color gamut, and gentle tonal gradations, and will provide outstanding image permanence and durability.

Hello world, in this life, I walk with a camera in hand as a tool and form of creative expression. When I was younger, I would hear doubts about how anyone could sustain a living through photography. I’ve learned that the world has more stories than it wants to tell. In the last 15 years of placing all my focus on studying and working in this medium, I can say confidently that everything needs visual representation in a modern world. Through capturing light, doors continue to open, giving more and more meaning to my life. I share these words and lean completely forward to one of my biggest dreams, putting my work out there in the physical form of a print. Your support during this time goes a long way. I am simply an instrument of our creator, telling a story through observation. I appreciate all your support and engagement as I set the intention to get more of my work out into our world.
