“Please take a seat, someone will be with you shortly” stages a moment of quiet absurdity within a sharply composed architectural scene. A white building with clean, angular lines dominates the frame, accented by a band of muted blue along its base. The number “3801” sits plainly on the wall, reinforcing a sense of order, place, and institutional clarity.
At the base of a short blue-brick partition, a figure appears to be seated—but only partially visible. Their legs extend outward onto the pavement, dressed in light-toned clothing and white sneakers, while the rest of their body is concealed behind the wall. The pose suggests compliance, as if they’ve followed instructions to wait, yet their incomplete visibility introduces a subtle tension.
The composition plays with geometry and concealment: hard edges, right angles, and color blocking contrast with the soft, human presence reduced to fragments. There’s a feeling of suspension—of being held in a moment that offers no clear resolution. The title reinforces this, evoking the language of waiting rooms and systems of control, where time stretches and identity can feel temporarily erased.
Humor and unease coexist here. The image reads as both a visual joke and a commentary—on patience, invisibility, and the strange ways people occupy space when asked to simply wait.
Photo finish: Legacy Etching is a pure white 100% cotton fibre paper with a textured matte finish. This paper simulates the touch and feel of old-world artist etching pads and handmade paper, but with the advantage of current technological improvements. It has an industry-leading microporous inkjet receptive layer that produces deep, rich blacks (Dmax), expanded color gamut, and gentle tonal gradations, and will provide outstanding image permanence and durability.

Hello world, in this life, I walk with a camera in hand as a tool and form of creative expression. When I was younger, I would hear doubts about how anyone could sustain a living through photography. I’ve learned that the world has more stories than it wants to tell. In the last 15 years of placing all my focus on studying and working in this medium, I can say confidently that everything needs visual representation in a modern world. Through capturing light, doors continue to open, giving more and more meaning to my life. I share these words and lean completely forward to one of my biggest dreams, putting my work out there in the physical form of a print. Your support during this time goes a long way. I am simply an instrument of our creator, telling a story through observation. I appreciate all your support and engagement as I set the intention to get more of my work out into our world.
