The photograph presents a surreal, slightly humorous yet unsettling scene. A peach-toned car fills the lower portion of the frame, its curved hood and windshield visible. From a circular opening in the car’s roof, a single human leg protrudes straight upward. The leg is clad in a bright sock and a sneaker with bold graphic patterns, creating a strong visual contrast against the otherwise muted palette.
The background is a flat, warm beige wall, devoid of detail, which amplifies the sense of isolation and absurdity. The composition is minimal and carefully balanced, with the lone leg becoming the focal point—almost sculptural in its stillness.
The title, “Nowhere left to sink,” adds a conceptual layer: it suggests a moment of halted descent, as if the person has sunk into the car (or perhaps the environment itself) and can go no further. The image blends humor with a subtle tension, evoking themes of entrapment, displacement, or the limits of escape, all wrapped in a clean, stylized aesthetic.
Photo finish: Legacy Etching is a pure white 100% cotton fibre paper with a textured matte finish. This paper simulates the touch and feel of old-world artist etching pads and handmade paper, but with the advantage of current technological improvements. It has an industry-leading microporous inkjet receptive layer that produces deep, rich blacks (Dmax), expanded color gamut, and gentle tonal gradations, and will provide outstanding image permanence and durability.
Frame NOT Included.

Hello world, in this life, I walk with a camera in hand as a tool and form of creative expression. When I was younger, I would hear doubts about how anyone could sustain a living through photography. I’ve learned that the world has more stories than it wants to tell. In the last 15 years of placing all my focus on studying and working in this medium, I can say confidently that everything needs visual representation in a modern world. Through capturing light, doors continue to open, giving more and more meaning to my life. I share these words and lean completely forward to one of my biggest dreams, putting my work out there in the physical form of a print. Your support during this time goes a long way. I am simply an instrument of our creator, telling a story through observation. I appreciate all your support and engagement as I set the intention to get more of my work out into our world.
